Note to teachers: the two exercises below help students practice fieldwork as a research methodology to explore the world around them. The first exercise is applied, which requires students to conduct their own fieldwork, in any site and at any time of the year. This exercise can be used with any age group, during class time or as a homework assignment. The second exercise will require students to read an excerpt from an article, which describes fieldwork of the research and answer some questions based on the description. The second task is advised for students of upper high-school grades or university. The second exercise can be done in writing or orally, as a class discussion.
